From a very early age I knew my career would have to involve the arts! I had been a painter and sculptor  before discovering bear making in 1993/4  but back then my bears were mainly traditional designs. After a break of some years to raise my family, bear making called me back once again...but this time around my interest has been for realistic bear designs...although occasionally a traditional bear will still make an apperance ! Each bear is one of a kind and although I often adapt previous patterns I never use the same one twice. Sometimes I prefer to cut the fabric as I go along and  find that the very best way to make progress.  I look upon bear making now as sculpting with fabric and for me it is just the most wonderful job in the world!!!
